| Description | This Project will utilize the CPS Urban Model High School Prototype, totaling approx. 200,000 SF on three floors plus a lower level. The building is intended to serve 1,200 students plus faculty, staff & administration. Program spaces will include: Standard & Multi-purpose Classrooms; Computer Labs; Science Labs; Art Studios; Administrative Offices; Nurses' Offices w/ Examination Rooms; Counseling Offices; Gymnasium w/ a stage & spectator seating; Ticket & Concession Booths; Natatorium w/ six-lane, 25-yard pool & spectator seating; Coaching Offices; Training Rooms; Locker Rooms; Fitness Room; Public Restrooms; Scene Shop; Piano & Theatrical Storage; Control Room; Instrumental & Choral Music Rooms; Mechanical Rooms; Dining Room w/ full-service Kitchen & Servery; Library w/ Book Stacks, Computer Labs, Workrooms & Storage. Interior finishes will include CMU & gypsum board partitions; terrazzo, ceramic tile, VCT & carpet flooring, wood casework; metal lockers.
Scope of work includes environmental, earth retention, sheet piling, underground tank removal, excavation, sheeting, clay infield, utility services, bituminous paving, permeable pavers, site concrete, oi fencing, chain link fencing, site furnishing, athletic equipment furnishing, landscaping, vegetated roof modules, concrete, masonry, structural steel, misc. iron, carpentry, arch. millwork, modular casework, damp proofing/waterproofing, air barrier, spray on insulation, metal wall panels, roofing, hot-fluid applied vegetated roof system, traffic coatings, spray fireproofing, sealants, fire stopping, doors/frames, wood doors, access doors, aluminum entrances, aluminum windows, window guards, automatic door operators, glazing, aluminum curtain wall, plaster, drywall, ceramic tile, terrazzo, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpentry, painting, visual display units, toilet compartments, louvers, metal letters, signage, lockers, fire extinguishers, toilet accessories, projection screens, food service equipment, stage rigging, orchestra enclosure, dock levelers, scoreboards, waste compactors, window treatments, foot grilles, plumbing, sprinkler, hvac, electrical, low voltage, temperature controls, hydraulic elevator and various additional equipment.
