Tom Rackow
Tom Rakow, Chairman

Tom developed IHC's business foundation into the broadened markets we offer to meet today's diversity in the construction marketplace. He has led a talented group of construction professionals in the Northern Illinois area over the past several decades, which is evidenced in the long-tern relationships with our clients and industry professionals.

Embarking on his IHC construction career as a summer laborer during his youth, he succeeded his parents, who were former IHC owners, and was elected to Executive Vice President/Treasurer in 1972.

The wide spectrum of services IHC continues to provide today was developed during his presidency from 1980-2002, after which he assumed his current role as Chairman of IHC.

Tom remains active and highly regarded for his numerous community leadership roles in the Elgin and surrounding communities.

David Rock
David Rock, President

Dave possesses ultimate responsibility for all strategic and daily operational decisions for IHC's diversified construction firm. Our markets include General Building Construction (Industrial, Institutional, Commercial); Heavy Construction (Plant & Process, Highway & Transit); and Underground Construction (Directional Boring, Open-cut Telecom and Electrical Distribution Systems). Dave fulfills an extensive range of executive responsibilities including monitoring of costs, quality control, scheduling, and deployment of IHC resources - both personnel and equipment. Dave is accountable for implementation of all of IHC's contractual obligations and implementation of all IHC corporate policies including safety.

Dave began his career with IHC in 1990 as General Superintendent for the Building and Structures construction. He assumed increasing responsibilities for estimating and company presence in the Utility market.

In 2002 Dave assumed the role of President. Dave has led the company into multiple market resurgence and current portfolio of business pursuits.

Dave Rock (President of IHC) was named as the new 2004 president of the FVGCA.

Chuck Polich
Chuck Polich, Vice President

Chuck directs, oversees and has complete responsibility for all Design/Build, Construction Management and General Contracting building construction. Promoted to Vice President in 2003, he joined IHC as a Senior Project Manager in 1989 and brings 28 years of industry experience to our firm. Chuck also coordinates all the day-to-day activities of the staff within the Building Division. He works closely with each project team to coordinate bid releases, job schedules and project estimates. He coordinates and assists in document review, document coordination, Trade Contract Scope of Work and Trade Contractor qualification and scope implementation. He further assists project staff in scheduling, negotiations and conflict resolution.

Walt Dwyer
Walt Dwyer, Vice President

Walt joined IHC in 1992 as a Senior Project Manager responsible for the estimating and project management administration of water and wastewater treatment facility projects. Promoted to Vice President in 2003, he oversees the company operations for all water and wastewater plant work.

 

 

Alan Orosz
Alan Orosz, Chief Financial Officer

Alan joined IHC in 1998 as Chief Financial Officer and brings 25 years of corporate construction accounting experience to the IHC team. He is responsible for the financial reporting for all divisions to include preparation of financial statements and related reports required by the company. Alan also directs the corporate accounting staff, overseeing financial reporting and budgeting, as well as the coordination of audit reviews. He maintains the company's banking, insurance and bonding relationships.
