DescriptionTenders are invited for the work consisting of furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment required for:
1. REPLACEMENT OF DRAINS IN THE SCUM CONCENTRATION BUILDING:
a. Remove and replace the existing drains, four six-inch gate valves, and all fittings located in two drainage pits.
b. Provide high pressure air and process water flushing connections for the piping and valves replaced under item 1.a.
c. Remove and replace eight-inch gate valve along with the stem that drains the old scum hopper area.
d. Remove and replace existing rung ladders that extend from the two surface entries to each drainage pit.
e. Remove all debris and scum accumulations from two drainage pits.
f. Pump out and remove all debris and scum accumulations from the scum concentration tanks.
2. NEW WORK IN THE POST-DIGESTION CENTRIFUGE FACILITY:
a. Remove and replace the existing Sludge/Polymer Transfer Tanks Nos. 1-12.
b. Remove and replace the suction pipes, fittings, and valves on the Polymer Feed Pumps Nos. 1-12.
c. Install a new slop sink on the centrifuge floor with new hot and cold water connections, and a drain line.
3. NEW SLUDGE BOXES IN THE PRELIMINARY TANK AREA:
a. Remove the existing ten sludge boxes, vent pipes, and cover lifting mechanisms.
b. Install new low-alloy steel sludge boxes with new covers and vent pipes.
4. NONDESTRUCTIVE INSPECTION OF DIGESTERS PIPING AT DIGESTERS
a. Inspect sludge feed line at Digesters Nos. 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8.
b. Inspect sludge recirculation line at Digesters Nos. 2 and 3.
c. Inspect sludge recirculation/feed line at Digesters 9 through 21, except for Digester No.17.
5. STICKNEY WRP ELEVATOR No.11:
a. The work on a hydraulic passenger elevator shall include an electrically operated control equipment, power unit, jack assembly with PVC, door operator, hoistway door equipment, modifications to the cab, signal fixtures and all hardware required to provide a complete and fully operational passenger elevator.
b. The work shall include a fire alarm panel with smoke detectors at each landing and machine room exclusively for elevator operation.
c. The work shall include fused disconnect for the machine room and circuit breaker disconnect for car lighting.
d. The work shall include refinishing the floor, sump pit, providing pit ladder and replacing sump pump in the elevator pit.
e. The work shall include a machine room GFCI.
6. RACINE AVENUE PUMPING STATION ELEVATOR:
a. The work on an electric traction passenger elevator shall include electrically operated control equipment, motor, door operator, hoistway doors, cab, gate, signal fixtures and all hardware required to provide a complete and fully operational passenger/service elevator.
b. The work shall include fused disconnect for the machine room and car lighting.
c. The work will include lighting, new receptacle, and GFCI receptacle for elevator pit.
d. The work shall include a machine room GFCI.
7. AERATION TANKS AND CHANNELS – BATTERY C:
a. Remove and dispose of all remaining deposit materials from Aeration Tanks, South and West Influent Channels, East Mixing Channel, and East and South Sludge Return Channel.
b. Clean all Aeration Tanks and channels.
c. Remove and replace all fine bubble diffuser plates in Aeration Tanks.
d. Remove and replace 4” angle globe valves and 4” drop air pipes for diffuser plate in Aeration Tanks (unit price item).
e. Remove and replace 6” angle globe valves and 6” drop air pipes for diffuser plate in Aeration Tanks (unit price item).
f. Remove and replace all Dresser couplings and pipe spool pieces for air mains in manholes at the Y-walls of the aeration tanks.
g. Remove and replace all Dresser couplings and pipe spool pieces for air mains in manholes at the Vaults around the aeration tanks.
h. Remove and replace all 20” Dresser couplings and air main pipe pieces at the South Influent Channel.
i. Repair or replace the fine bubble diffuser plate holders as needed (unit price item).
j. Repairs of spalled concrete and cracks at the aeration tanks and channels.
k. Repair or replace expansion joints and construction joints in the aeration tanks and channels.
8. AERATION TANKS AND CHANNELS – BATTERY D:
a. Remove and dispose of all remaining deposit materials from Aeration Tanks, North, South and West Influent Channels, East Mixing Channel, and North and East Sludge Return Channels.
b. Clean all Aeration Tanks and channels.
c. Remove and replace all fine bubble diffuser plates in Aeration Tanks.
d. Remove and replace 6” angle globe valves and 6” drop air pipes for diffuser plates in Aeration Tanks.
e. Remove and replace all Dresser couplings and pipe spool pieces for air mains in manholes at the Y-walls of the Aeration Tanks.
f. Remove and replace all Dresser couplings and pipe spool pieces for air mains in manholes at the Vaults around the Aeration Tanks.
g. Remove and replace all 24” Dresser couplings and air main pipe pieces at the North Influent Channel.
h. Remove and replace all 3” drop air pipes, 3” angle globe valves, 3” air headers and coarse bubble diffusers in the Mixing Channel, North and East RAS Channels, and North, South and West Influent Channels.
i. Remove and replace all 4” drop air pipes, 4” angle globe valves, 4” air headers and coarse bubble diffusers in the North Influent Channel and North RAS Channel.
j. Remove and replace all 6” drop air pipes, 6” angle globe valves, 6” air headers and coarse bubble diffusers in the North RAS Channel.
k. Remove and replace 32 drain stems for 18” diameter Sluice Gates in the Aeration Tanks.
l. Repair or replace the fine bubble diffuser plate holders as needed (unit price item) in the Aeration Tanks.
m. Repair spalled concrete and cracks at the aeration tanks and channels.
n. Repair or replace expansion joints and construction joints in the aeration tanks and channels.
9. IMHOFF TANKS BATTERIES B AND C:
a. Replace sludge piping connected weir boxes and influent/effluent conduits at Imhoff Tanks Batteries B and C.
b. Furnish and deliver : one 42” gate valve and one 30” gate valve.
10. CONSTRUCTION OFFICE AT LASMA
a. Remove existing 31’x15’construction trailer with utilities and all other appurtenances.
b. Remove existing construction office with utilities and all other appurtenances.
c. Provide a new 21’-9” by 60’ permanent construction trailer, with utilities and all other appurtenances.
d. Restore north wall of the Scale Building.
e. Provide new 150kW, 208V, 3-phase, standby generator system with automatic transfer switch and 500 gallon propane storage tank.
f. Remove existing ComEd meters and current transformers feeding the Visitors Center Building, provide a new 800A current transformer and meter, and provide a temporary power feed during transition.
11. CAFETERIA AT SWRP
a. Replace existing facade at the Cafeteria entrance.
b. Repave the concrete paved area in front of the Cafeteria and improve the drainage.
c. Replace the floor at vestibule.
d. Replace heaters in the vestibule area.
